Lidia Jewloszewicz-Clarke is an award-winning Polish violinist based in Ireland. She is a member of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and a co-leader of Camerata Ireland, with whom she has toured Europe and Asia, performing at venues such as the Royal Opera de Versailles in Paris, the NCPAC in Beijing, and the NCPA in Mumbai.

Lidia is a keen chamber musician, having collaborated with notable musicians such as Arto Noras, Marc Coppey, Elina Vähälä, and Barry Douglas. She has performed at many festivals, including the Rainy Days Festival of Contemporary Music at Philharmonie Luxembourg and the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Festivals in Ireland where she has performed include New Music Dublin, the Monkstown Music Festival, the NCH Chamber Music Gathering, the Kilkenny Arts Festival, the Clandeboye Festival, the Clifden Arts Festival, and the Wexford Opera Festival.

Lidia has a strong interest in new music, having led the chamber ensemble for the Irish premiere of Andrew Synnott’s opera The Dubliners in 2017 and performed the European premiere of Luigi Nono’s Prometeo at the Royal Festival Hall with the London Sinfonietta in 2008. Most recently, in 2023, Lidia was a Musician in Residence at the Lexicon in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, supported by Music Network. Together with violinist Larissa O’Grady, she composed and performed a three-movement suite for two violins and a soundscape, based on their cultural identities and the diversity of the Irish musical landscape.

Lidia is a founding member of the Banbha String Quartet, supported by the National String Quartet Foundation, with whom she will tour Ireland in November 2024, premiering a quartet by Seán Doherty titled Varsouviana. The quartet, commissioned by Lidia, is a further exploration of musical identity and shared heritage between Ireland and Poland.

Lidia holds an MA from the Royal Academy of Music in London and an MMus from the Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, Poland.
